Little adventure today ♪ Kappa-chan came along, and thank you @diananeko for taking some good pictures with me in them ^-^/ A mycologist told us where he goes looking for mushrooms lately, so we had to go check it out ! And even though we just stuck to the trail, we were able to spot some ~~ all of them growing on fallen logs ?! But first, we had to stop at the springs to fill our water bottles, and Kappa-chan took a quick dunk in the waters there ♡ Yum !!! I don't know which spring around here is the yummiest-- it's all such good water ! We walked in the woods a bit there, and had to go looking for the sugar pine pinecones again ☆ There were some for sale at tj's last time we were there, so instead, we picked up a few for free here, to help decorate for Christmas ♡ We're going to try to find a cool fallen tree branch in the forest, and decorate it with lights and foresty things... and probably a bunch of Nyanko-sensei charms, for our Christmas tree this year ♡ Hoping to try to be festive, but decorating wears me out - -;;; So we'll see ... Then we found the fungi and mushrooms ! Actually, we walked along a little bit of the Pacific Crest Trail ♪ But not too much, 'cause it goes all the way to Mexico or Canada, depending on which direction ... and as we wanted to be home in time for supper, we didn't have time for such an expedition. Then, since the reservoir was a bit empty, we drove up to the nearby lake to sit in the sunset and watch the water and super relax ★ Today's trails were really mellow, I wish I'd worn geta instead of sneakers ! But the way up here is very treacherous cliff-roads, so we won't be back for awhile. Oh ! And today was the official debut of my new (thrifted) sweater !
