TBT to last Friday when I graduated from Dental Hygiene School. This is the first thing in my life I have truly done for myself and with no other influences. This schooling wasn’t easy, I cried a lot, I wanted to quit, I felt like I wasn’t going to be good at what I love but I proved myself wrong on all levels. I love being in the dental field and I love that I can make a difference in someone’s life. If I can help people over come their fear of the dentist or show a 2 year old my cool “squirt gun” and show them how fun the dentist is then I did my job. What people don’t know is that I do need to know the entire body and how our mouth and body are one. I can find oral cancer and possibly save someone’s life or I can let a patient know their blood pressure is high and possibly save them from a heart attack. I am a proud dental hygienist and I love my job and life. BEST FEELING EVER = NOT waking up in the morning and hating my body. 💜 .⠀ NOT looking in the mirror disgusted with what I see. 😍 .⠀ ⠀ NOT having to search for the biggest clothes in my closet (or even consider something from my husbands closet!) to find something that will hide my tummy fat, arm flab, and giant thighs. 😭 .⠀ ⠀ I'm officially dropped 50 lbs before getting pregnant and although I’ve gained more than that after conceiving our baby, I feel A-FREAKING-MAZING but what's even better than the weight loss is I have... . More ENERGY More CONFIDENCE More HAPPINESS More ENDURANCE More STRENGTH . For SO MANY years I was a yo-yo dieter. I tried every fad diet ever (the craziest probably being the exlax cleanse...or the only eating boiled eggs diet...😳🤢) . Most of the time though it was depriving myself and then binging because those extreme levels of dieting are NOT sustainable. . And this dieting cycle would continue over and over and over again because I would just tell myself I would start again on Monday, or next month, or after the holidays. 🙄 . ✖️IF ONLY I knew about this lifestyle back then. ✖️IF ONLY someone would have helped me. ✖️IF ONLY I could have made progress sooner because I knew HOW to lose weight in a HEALTHY way. . Happy Happy Monday!! . Mondays have become LEGIT one of my favorite days of the week!! They signify a new week, a fresh start, new adventures, a chance to improve my mood and myself from last week, a new opportunity to dream BIGGER, and an opportunity to work harder at helping even more people!! .
