S W I P E L E F T ➡️ . Halfway Lift / Ardha Uttanasana 🌻 . Halfway lift is a pose we regularly move into in a Vinyasa/Ashtanga flow. It works to reset and strengthen the spine, while stretching the front of your torso, your hamstrings, hips & calves. . When moving into half lift, prioritize lengthening the front of your body and engaging your back by drawing shoulder blades together and down, expanding your heart forward between your arms, and curling tailbone up to the ceiling. . The goal is to have straight legs in this pose with knee caps tractioning up, but if you struggle to touch the floor and keep your spine & legs straight at the same time, then bring your hands to your shins/thighs, or use two blocks on either side of your feet. .
