Evan Mobley is a name you should know. If USC can land the younger brother of current commit Isaiah... let's just say the NBA is going to have it's eyes on USC basketball, and all USC fans should as well. Mobley shot up to the #1 ranking overall on ESPN for the class of 2020, and deservedly so. At almost 7'0 tall, with a 7'4 wingspan, long quick strides, and the foot quickness of a small forward, he has the potential to be a superstar. What's more exciting, is the skill to match. Mobley shot over 60% for team USA and was among the world tournament's leaders in blocks. His offensive game is akin to past blue chip prospects like Michael Porter Jr and Marvin Bagley with his clean jumpshot and 3 point range. Despite a skinny build, Mobley still gets in most of his work down low and is an effective lob threat. He displays above average passing vision and accuracy for a big man. He can legitimately become a scoring threat from all three levels. To top it all off, Mobley has even shown potential as a ball handler. While he aspires to play like Durant, we see him more similar to Anthony Davis (albeit not as bouncy). USC is the current consensus pick by sources for Mobley. And here at FOL, we're predicting the same. Last summer we were all teased by Bol Bol and Marvin Bagley, this time around, there's much more hope. With his brother currently committed and his father an assistant coach, USC looks to land a game changer. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1V5AaGQV-f-FfcZ1kBmEOg check
Hoops Summer breakdown: The Sun stays shining over LA as USC has landed two more highly coveted hoops prospects in SG Drake London and SF Max Agbonkpolo. Part 1: London out of Moorpark HS, is an athletic 6'4 SG(also a talented 4 star WR)that brings his football physicality and hustle to the hardwood. His jumpshot has improved over the years and he figures to be a threat immediately as a slasher and defender. London chases after rebounds and is a legitimate 2 sport athlete with a mature mindset. With the USC roster filling up on depth, he'll likely play a bench role early on and earn more minutes over the next years. If London proves to be a consistent outside shooter and tightens up his handles further, he could be in the discussion as a future NBA pick. Part 2: Max Agbonkpolo out of Santa Margarita Catholic has steadily shot up the recruiting rankings and currently sits at 40th overall on Rivals. His 6'8” height coupled with a 7 foot wingspan has scouts excited for his potential. In addition to his NBA frame, he boasts a “smooth” game. Agbonkpolo fits perfectly as either a smaller/quicker stretch 4, or as he is currently listed, a small forward. He's a natural passer and often ran the offense in his HS (averaged 5+ apg). His jumpshot has legitimate range and silky mechanics but he'll have to continue to work on his consistency before he can be considered a knockdown shooter. Agbonkpolo's physical tools and skills will give him a shot at seeing some time in year one. We predict Enfield will bring him off the bench for all possible spare minutes, especially at the end of decided games. The potential is there for Max to be something akin to De'Anthony Melton as a versatile and long, high IQ player. Agbonkpolo would benefit from putting on more muscle and working on his quickness to allow him to put his physical tools to best use. The Trojans are boasting the no.1 class in the country at the moment. Photos via USCAthletics

Farewell Jack Jones? Jones was arrested for attempted burglary of a fast food restaurant. Jones was already suspended for the season on academic probation and was ready to spend a year playing JUCO ball to get his grades back on track to transfer back to USC or another school. Only now, a terrible decision has thrown his football career in jeopardy. Jones was a consensus 5 star prospect that led the team with 4 interceptions last season. Primed for a breakout season to leap to the NFL, bad choices off the field have robbed a probowl potential career. We can only hope that Jones gets the legal work sorted out to find himself back on a football field. But with the way USC treats arrested athletes, don't expect him to return anytime soon. USC has also lost former top 50 prospects DB Jamel Cook to transfer and WR Joseph Lewis to legal issues. A frustrating end to three promising trojan careers however comes with more open slots on the depth chart for newcomers. 5 star DB Olaijah Griffin has the potential to snatch a now empty starting corner spot to join an experienced secondary. Fellow freshman corner Isaac Taylor Stuart has ridiculous athleticism and good size at 6'2 with a reported 4.25 40. OG is further along technically but this will be one one the most intriguing positional battles all camp. Seniors Isaiah Langley and Jonathan Lockett will try to reclaim the starting spots they once held. Comment your pick for the Corner spot 👇 Enjoy your summer, and as always #fighton

Working on something awesome!
CB JACK JONES RULED ACADEMICALLY INELIGIBLE FOR 2018 SEASON. Jones had sat out spring ball to focus on academics but it was all for nothing. This is a major hit to the defense as Jones was projected to be a cornerstone of the secondary in 2018. Last season was full of ups and downs but he still led the team with 4 interceptions, and was expected to take the next step into stardom this season. Expect Isaiah Langley, Jonathan Locket, and Greg Johnson to compete for the now vacant starting spot. Ykili Ross should expect to see more time as well. Don't sleep on the incoming freshman, Olaijah Griffin, Isaac Taylor Stuart, and Chase Williams. Olaijah Griffin really began to shine at the end of the recruiting cycle, and make no mistake, he'll be hungry to take Jack's spot. All corners will be. Best of luck for Jack to get it done in the classroom to compete in 2019. EDIT: It is rumored that Jack Jones will not be returning to the team. No official announcement yet
5 STAR PF ISAIAH MOBLEY COMMITS TO USC. USC has moved up to 3rd in the recruiting rankings, but more importantly they got a versatile and promising college ready prospect. Mobley at 6'9 plays as a point forward and is more than capable of handling and passing the ball. He's even put up a few triple doubles in the last few seasons. Isaiah can score from all over the court with a steadily improving 3 point shot. He does plenty of damage in the paint with hook shots, drives, and a baby floater. On defense he's quick enough to cover pesky stretch 4s while also defending the paint. In his high school career he's used his length to average almost 3 blocks a game. Mobley is a skilled and coordinated big that will be ready to contribute right away. Don't be surprised if his brother, Evan Mobley (no.4 overall on 247sports for 2020) commits to USC as well. With a brilliant start to this year's recruiting class, every sign points that there will be more to come. Know the names Boogie Ellis, Cassius Stanley, and Josh Green.. A big fight on to Isaiah ✌🏽 @isaiah.3
USC lands 5 star center, ONYEKA OKONGWU. The first commitment of the 2019 class, Okongwu figures to be an instant contributor to the Trojan frontline. It wouldn't be a surprise at all if he's a day 1 starter. Okongwu is a long (7 foot plus wingspan) and athletic 6'9 center who rebounds and blocks shots with terrific instincts, on top of that he can run the floor as well. Okongwu is similar to Bam Adebayo as a high school prospect, but with less bounce, and more skill. He's been working on his jumper and should be able to knock it down from mid-range consistently with some more time. Okongwu has strong work ethic and character and still has time to fill out his frame. He's versatile enough to play as a 4 if USC decides to play big. He led Chino Hills to the state title last season without the Ball Brothers, averaging 28 points 12 rebounds and 4 blocks per game. He has been ranked as high as #15 overall (ESPN) and is ranked #16 by composite. It's hard to label a prospect as a guaranteed contributor, but I think USC's landed one here. This is just the start for an upcoming monster class. USC is also favored for Isaiah Mobley, a 5 star point forward in the 2019 class. They both play for the Compton Magic, so don't be surprised if they take the PAC by storm in the upcoming years. This commitment just cements Enfield's proven recruiting ability. His last 4 commits have all been top 70 players, and it looks like there's only more good things to come. Make no mistake, USC is becoming a recruiting power on the west coast. Talent only attracts more talent, and this class has the all the makings to be special. A big fight on to Onyeka ✌🏽 @big0._l
C-HAWKins TO THE SEAHAWKS. The leader of the USC secondary finds himself staying in the west coast along with many of his fellow trojans after he signed with the Seahawks. Hawkins started off his career as a corner and had mixed results but his leadership and knowledge of the game kept him on the field. After making the transition to safety, Chris was elected captain by his fellow players and had a turnaround season as a senior. If anybody is going to find a place in the NFL, whether as a player or coach, it’s going to be Hawkins. Don’t sleep. Fight on✌️
NICO FALAH JOINS THE TITANS. At around 6'4 301 Falah quietly played an instrumental role in the Trojans back to back 10+ win seasons. The future is coming, and Falah's the type of player that will put his head down and put in the work to get to the top. Good luck and fight on Nico ✌️
MITCHELL TO THE RAMS Mitchell has often times been the quiet and under appreciated performer on offense. He has the physical tools to succeed and with hard work let’s see what happens. He has often been injured or recovering from injury so the Rams may have found an untapped gem. Thank you Steven and FIGHT ON✌️
FATU JOINS THE LIONS. At 6'2 315 with a track record of steady improvement over his last years, Fatu has a shot to make his football dreams come true. Fatu came to USC as an unheralded JUCO recruit. Through hard work, he worked his way up the depth chart and became a starter on the line finishing with 6 sacks his Senior season. Keep fighting on Josh ✌️
DEONTAY TO THE TITANS. The underrated Trojan receiver quietly racked up 1114 yards and 9 TDs on the season. Burnett's smaller frame and injury in the draft process tanked his stock, BUT if there's anything we've learned about Burnett at this point, is that even as an underdog, he finds a way. The least heralded of USC's recruited receiver, he saw playing time as a true freshmans and rose to becoming USC's go-to receiver by his junior season. Don't forget his monster 13 catch 164 yard and 3TD performance against Penn State. He has the combination of naturally sticky hands and the game sense that may just surprise some in the next level. Keep fighting on Deontay ✌️
VIANE TO THE SEAHAWKS, after a productive tenure at USC, the O-Lineman takes the next step in his career. Always a strong and relentless mauler on the line, he'll need to work on quickness and technique, but there's no questioning his heart for the game. He's a lineman that takes pride and pleasure in dominating his matchup. Good luck and keep going hard Viane ✌️
GREEN TO THE SEAHAWKS. With the 79th overall pick the anchor of the Trojan defensive line is taken to bolster an aging Seahawks roster. Coach Carroll’s affinity for Pac-12 players continues but this could be a HUGE steal as Green has tremendous upside. Some NFL analysts said that he could have been a top 10 pick if he stayed for his senior season as currently Green is a bit raw and relies on “out-talenting” his opponents. With some NFL coaching and dedicated strength and conditioning, watch out! A beast may have been released. Congrats to Rasheem and FIGHT ON! That’s the 4th Trojan taken in the first 3 rounds this year.
NWOSU TO THE CHARGERS. With the 48th overall pick, the All American and co-MVP of the 2018 season is taking his talents to ... home. The Carson native won’t have to travel far as he joins an already stacked Chargers defense where he will likely play a hybrid LB role. Nwosu turned his life around after a rocky freshman year that saw him being sent home at one point. Through hard work and passion, he began to terrorize QBs as a jack of all trades, hitting and swatting and above all, making a name for himself. Congratulations Uchenna! FIGHT ON✌️
Ronald Jones II earns his spot as a Buc as the 38th overall pick! From the moment the Texan Tesla arrived on campus, he was a fan favorite. With 3619 total yards in his career and 39 touchdowns, Rojo finishes as the 5th most prolific running back in USCs stories history. Coming into USC he immediately flashed hints of brilliance and with each season, he transformed into a beast in all dimensions. Tampa Bay, you're getting a hard worker and a future star. Rojo, thank you for the memories and FIGHT ON✌️ Check out @teamrojo25 for everything Rojo ✌️
DARNOLD TO THE JETS. While USC misses out on a chance at its record 6th no.1 overall pick, Darnold may have fallen to the perfect spot. The Trojans also bolster their most first rounders record with 81. Josh McCown at 38 will be a great mentor for Sam to prepare him to take the reigns of the franchise. With back to back 5-11 seasons don't be surprised to see Darnold slinging it in green next season. The Jets also signed Teddy Bridgewater, but Darnold's upside and work ethic should give him a shot to become the man in New York. Sam was the best QB USC has had since Leinart, and was the first to throw for 4000+ yards in a season. Oh how time flies. Just last month it felt like he was making his debut. As long as he can clean up his turnover issues and improve his deep ball accuracy, it looks like the Jets got a STEAL with the 3rd pick. With the right pieces and one or two years of correct development, don't be surprised if the Jets become the next Eagles. If there's a perfect QB to be the first Super Bowl winning Trojan, it's Sam. FIGHT ON! We'll be rooting for you from LA all the way to NY.

QB BATTLE - To be honest, neither Fink or Sears truly impressed. Both QBs struggled to deal with the pass rush and had inconsistent ball placement. They each had their moments, but those moments weren't enough to separate themselves. While Sears has the bigger arm he's struggled more with accuracy and both quarterbacks threw numerous interceptions and couldn’t consistently make the right reads at game speed. Sears certainly has more arm talent, but it's simply far too erratic at this stage. Fink has shown off his”veteran” knowledge, makes quicker reads and currently holds a small lead in the race but JT Daniels has been watching from the sidelines all Spring... P.S. if you haven’t noticed already, posts aren’t going to be nearly as frequent as before for the off-season but we are planning to pick it up again once the season nears. But of course, we will also be sure to post if anything major happens in this period and give our insight or opinions. In the meantime, keep fighting on✌️
BENNIE BOATWRIGHT RETURNS for his Senior season. Always a talented scorer with a beautiful stroke, Bennie looks to finish his career with a bang after another injury riddled season. This time he will be expected to be the man for the USC offense with the departures of 3 starters (Metu, McLaughlin, Stewart). Bennie showed improvement on defense last season, and there's no question he's hungry to bring the Trojans back to the TOURNAMENT. ✌️
Which teams did everyone pick for their All or Nothing Series? Here is who we picked

BIG RECRUITING NOTE: While the hoops season ended on a sour note, USC basketball hired ERIC MOBLEY, father of two 5 Star recruits. With Metu, Jmac, and Stewart all leaving, the Trojans will be without 3 starters, and in need of a refuel. This is where the 2 Mobley brothers can help. Both have announced the Trojans as their leaders in the past week, and both project to be impact players at the college level. Isaiah, the older brother in the class of 2019 is a 6'9 forward that can block shots, but also handle the ball and score from anywhere on the court. He's ranked as the 22nd overall player on 247sports. His younger brother Evan, a skilled 6'10 big with terrific potential is ranked 4th overall in the 2020 class. If USC can land both, they could be a formidable duo for the future that can take USC hoops to the next level. Enfield will recruit, and the program may be primed for another rise ✌️
Trojan basketball is back TONIGHT, playing Western Kentucky. Winning the NIT could bring much needed momentum for the future. On another late but great note: J'raan Brooks RECOMMITS to USC. Although the decision to leave us out of the tournament stings, we now have a big man in our 2018 class once again, which is huge with the expected loss of Metu and Boatwright after this season. Thus, it was key to get a big man in this class, and J'raan is our guy. At 6'8, 215, he is not your athletic PF that will dunk all over or your Bennie Boatwright lights out shooter, but he is your traditional bruiser that goes hard in the paint and wins you those rebounds. He also has incorporated a mid range jumper, which adds a different dimension to his game. Let's hope he will have a similar effect to Jordan Usher this year, especially since our bench is so sparse in the foward position. Welcome back J'raan and FIGHT ON

USC SQUEAKS BY UNC ASHEVILLE 103-98. Let's face it. We should have lost this game, and it would have been flat out embarrassing. Thank goodness we were able to pull it out, with the effort of 24 points and 19 rebounds on Rakocevic and clutch three pointers from J-Mac to keep us in the game. No Chimezie Metu really hurt us and likely will prevent us from winning the whole thing, but onto the next game against Western Kentucky, who had a very convincing win against Boston College. Shout out to the boys who fought hard and wanted to win badly today

USC 2019 RECRUITING NUGGETS Another year, another recruiting class. The Class of 2019 Recruiting class is gonna be a very, very good one. And with 25 scholarships to offer this time around, expect an absolute monster class next February. However, keep in mind that many of these rankings are not solid at all and that these are early projections. Nevertheless, here's the early scoop. ONCE IN A GENERATION PLAYER: I'm not going to lie. Our defense is extremely solid. We have almost everything, whether it be depth in the LB or the DB departments. However, the one thing that we lack is an elite pass rusher. Kayvon Thibodeaux is exactly that player. A top 6 player on all recruiting sites, and the no.1 recruit in the 247sports composite, the Oaks Christian standout is an absolute freak athlete at 6'5 235. He is best known for coming off the edge with freakish speed and finishing plays. However, he is also an elite student, boasting a 4.0 GPA and striving for a Business degree. USC is perfect in that the Marshall School is one of the best for business along with an elite football program. Though programs such as LSU are getting a sniff, we look very good for this stud athlete. OL PLEASE: The one area that I thought was especially weak in this class was the OL, as we only brought two players in the 2018 class. Early on however, we seem to be looking good for a few players, such as Sean Rhyan, Jonah Tauanu'a, and Malaesala Aumavae-Laula, who are all high four stars. The staff knows this position is a priority, so do not be suprised if we land all three of these guys in addition to one or two more. MATER DEI: Last year, we flexed the Mater Dei - USC connection by bringing in both Amon-Ra and JT Daniels. This year looks like it's going to have a similar outcome, as we lead early for must get athlete Bru McCoy, who can play anywhere on the field. Also, Sean Dollars, Jerimiah Cridell, and Keyon Ware-Hudson. Though not all may come, expect at least three to end up in C&G to continue this pipeline. Check back tomorrow for part 2 of the 2019 preview! Sorry for the lack of updates as it's been a quiet period, regardless thanks for all the support. FIGHT ON.
USC DOWNS COLORADO 75-64. While the Trojans show promise without star Bennie Boatwright and beat a very tough Colorado team away from home, the main news from the day was that DeAnthony Melton had officially announced that he will not be returning to the team and will turn pro. This is a huge loss, but one that is not surprising. USC more than likely was not going to let DeAnthony play ever again, and this was a good decision made for him in the future. The theme from the school and athletics department has recently been focused on protecting the school's image first over their athletes justice. Currently, we are 20-9 with two more games to go including ones against Utah and UCLA. Now, if we go 2-0 and win at least one game in the Pac-12 Championship game, we should be a lock for the tourney. However, anything less and we will have to repeat as a play in team. Two players that are going to need to step up throughout this stretch is Nick Rakocevic and Jordan Usher. They have literally carried us through wins throughout the past 10 games and with the win tonight, may be picking up momentum to propel us to a strong finish. Be sure to stay tune for basketball updates as well as our first 2019 recruiting update for football coming very soon. Nothing but best wishes for De'Anthony who has a case for being the most talented player in recent USC history. He was a Swiss Army knife on the floor, reminding some of Dwyane Wade. Melton was a first round prospect before the suspension, with strong upside offensively and defensively. He will now look to convince NBA front offices with his strong work ethic.

SUSPENDED: True freshman and former 5 Star Joseph Lewis was suspended indefinitely from the team following felony charges stemming from charges of domestic abuse. Judging by the way administration has handled similar cases in the past, if the allegations are true, Lewis’s time as a Trojan is finished. Details are sparse at this moment so please reserve judgment until more facts come to light. This is a terrible situation for everybody involved but the coaches rightfully showed no toleration at all for such behavior. In addition, three star Center Cole Smith has medically retired from the program. A player who was expected to be the main backup center last year, Smith has decided to retire due to patella dislocation, which is a real shame. Comment your thoughts on these losses to the team.
