Many people think the Rollei 35 is a Rangefinder but it’s not - it’s actually a scale focus 35mm camera. Scale focusing means you make an educated guess as to the distance of the subject when focusing. There is no focus assist in the viewfinder - the viewfinder is only for framing. You may think that this would be a difficult camera to get sharp images with but you may be surprised at the quality images this camera can produce. Swipe 👉🏼 to see some images captured by this camera on TRIX and HP5! Most of these were shot at f/8 or higher which gives you some grace if you miss focus and also gives you great depth of field and detail 🙌🏼 #thedarkroomlab . Have you ever shot with a scale focusing camera? If so, which one?
