When Gary was first diagnosed with depression in 2015, he was so unmotivated to do anything. I would often come home to him in his pyjamas, in the dark, having literally not moved off the sofa all day. It was horrible to see.

In this time, Gary would also impulse buy to try and cheer himself up...this included a 3D printer ๐...and a puppy!

One day whilst I was at work, Gary started texting me photos of puppies that were available. We had been talking about a dog but not too seriously. However he was getting very excited about it and it was nice to see him this way, so I went along with it. That weekend we went to go see a puppy that needed rehomed. In my head we were just going for a nosey, to see if it was the right time for a dog....!

Luna came home with us that very day, and I am not exaggerating when I say she brought Gary out of his first episode of depression and the bond they have is untouchable. I mean look at the love in this picture I took this morning. ๐

Now Iโm not saying if you have depression, get a dog! Iโm just saying find a passion and it may help! Xx
