Tiny things with amazing stories: These are fragments of a Black Delft Teapot, excavated from the South Flanker Well and now housed in our collections. This is the only known instance of Black Delft ceramics in North America and dates to John Drayton's time. It highlights his taste for rare European ceramics. The teapot in the second picture is a reproduction created by a modern ceramic artist to help us translate the original appearance of this tiny teapot. Do you have questions for our Archaeologist?
