I feel like I should introduce myself since a bunch of people joined from my personal/business page. . I’m Kimberly. I’m 38, 5’3”. I have never been thin in my entire life. My current weight is the lowest I’ve been since high school. I have medical stuff like PCOS and thyroid issues and recurring episodes of chronic systemic joint pain. I’ve lost 95 lb in 15 months by eating 1400-1600 calories, getting adequate protein every day, and lots of body weight resistance exercises like pushups, mountain climbers, burpees, squats, lunges, planks, etc... I try to be authentic. I’m not airbrushed. My pics are usually in my walk-in closet. I don’t fake anything. . I have no special gimmicks to super-power your weight loss. All I can offer you is what has worked for me- time and commitment and more time. What works for me... works for me. We are all unique. . Motivation: Do it for your health. Body positivity and self-love mean all bodies are good bodies. But my body was not healthy and I woke up in pain head to toe most days. When everything hurts, change needs to happen. Not because you don’t love your body, but because you do love your body. . Consistency: There are so many ways of eating that work. IIFYM, Keto, WW, whatever. As long as your way of eating works for you and you can stick with it long-term, that’s what matters. Commit to it and don’t waver. Don’t jump from one fancy promise of quick success to another. Consistency is boring and necessary. It’s not fancy. . Focus on You: Don’t analyze others. You’ll see people go faster. Some will burn out. Some will hit a plateau and give up. Some will be so much faster that you’ll think you are making mistakes. Their story is their story. Your success is your success. You can both be successful in different ways and at varying speeds. If following someone on Instagram makes you feel bad about yourself, unfollow. Follow people who inspire you! I look to others for inspiration. When it stops being inspiration, it stops being helpful. . Remember the Basics: Adequate sleep, lots of water, colorful vegetables, self-care. Every good plan must have these things (unless you have medical reasons to not eat veg!) . Continued below!
