He feel his skin color warrants him to be able to resist arrest and not be treated in the manner he is being treated in. His comment says to me that he is otherwise totally okay for black People to receive this treatment though. First off, him saying this speaks VOLUMES!! He knows there is a difference between how he, a white person, is treated by police than the way black people are treated by police in this country. I’m sure WE ALL know there is a difference. Some of y’all just rather block it out and ignore it because you’re not black and it doesn’t affect you and yours. Secondly! No you were NOT treated like a black person. A black person would have been tased, beat up or maybe shot. It send that these same type of actions of resisting arrest is somehow perceived as fearing for ones life, which gives a green light to shoot and kill or use way more force than what we see displayed here. But again, y’all are more upset over a peaceful protest than the comment this guy made, in which the protest are protesting the reality of his comment. 🤦🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️ Y’all ask why it’s always about race with us... Reason why I decided to post this is because of the national anthem protests that consist of football players publicly kneeling and/raising their fist during the playing of the U.S. national anthem. These events occurred after the #NFL and #corporateAmerica blackballed San Francisco 49ers football quarterback #ColinKaepernick from playing in the NFL. This was because of his patriotic actions igniting a firestorm of controversy when he protested against racial injustice in the United States by refusing to stand up on national television while the United States #nationalanthem via "The Star Spangled Banner" was being performed before a 2016 preseason football game. This was because Colin Kaepernick protested and stood up for what he believe was right, in viewing the United States flag as a symbol for #racism and #oppression of black people and people of color, especially after the protests of the #BlackLivesMatter movement against incidents of police brutality and police involved shootings of unarmed African-Americans. Since then, Colin Kaepernick became a national figure. According to the 1943 United States Supreme Court federal ruling, it was deemed that no one should be forced to participate in patriotic acts such as saluting the United States flag nor standing for the American national anthem. It was the first time in history, since the 1968 Olympics Black Power Salute over 50 years ago, that a black athlete publicly kneeled and/or raised their fist during the playing of the U.S. national anthem. This is why the world needs more positive people such as Colin Kaepernick and NFL football players to protest and take a stand for something great.
