This little one is at the phase of “cleaning up”. He be pulling all the drawers and taking out neatly folded clothes, making me work double. So this has got to stop! . Vertical Sensory Bag is our activity for today (and any other day!). We purposely stick them on our drawers just so he be distracted to touch it instead of the handle. All you need is a transparent plastic bag, those tapau plastic works too. Add in desired items that can be touched, make sounds, hard or soft. If you’re teaching colours pick a colour per week (this way activity never ends!) . Now that you’re doing this you’re helping your child with their wrist extension. Vertical surface writing/activity puts the wrist in an extended position which encourages hand stabilization for better pencil grasp and control of writing utensils. Hope you try them too? Have a great week ahead! Love, N.
