This was unexpected and definitely not in the plan but I now own a real deal, built in the 50’s, original Henry 1932 Ford roadster. I need to start this by saying thank you to @77bmac and Squeak Bell. Bmac responded to Squeaks craigslist ad and Squeak was honest enough to commit to selling to me even after many other phone calls and offers. I drove up to Bakersfield Tuesday morning and picked it up. The roadster was originally built by Lee Koseinski in 1956 up in Castro Valley. It was cobbled together with a ‘32 roadster body on a ‘34 chassis with a 303 olds engine and hydramatic trans. Out back a 50’s ish dodge rearend was used but they didn’t shorten the driveshaft so it was located way out back. The wheel wells were flattened and filled to disguise the odd wheel placement. It was driven around for a few years and eventually put into storage in ‘61. It’s great to see how this thing was put together and then hidden away for so long. I’ll get the car back on the road and give the car the second life it deserves. I need to admit that I will be making a few upgrades to make it roadworthy for modern driving but as many original parts as possible will be used and everything else I contribute will be very era specific as Lee would’ve done in 1956.
