Fun to be able to work through my whole process with a piece like this in a matter of a few days vs. a few weeks or months. It really helped me define and see clearly each step I take in making a final piece of art and calling something “done.” From research, concept, layout, material prep, sketch, layers of paint, problem solving before and during each layer. To finishing the piece with final tweaks, touch ups, removing it from the board I work on, photographing it, editing photos and then finally packing and shipping. It’s helped me see just how much is involved which will hopefully help teach me some lessons as I journey into the world of “real” professional artist. This photo represents maybe steps 16 thru 20 in the whole process of 24ish total steps that I can count out. Who knew! I didn’t even really know/understand what goes into developing a painting until I literally had to sit and think about every single step. Kinda cool. Certainly helps me appreciate the work that goes into what I create as well as what every other artist and maker does a little more! The next and final steps will be to say goodbye, safely pack and ship this to it to the lady these fluffs belong to! You should have it in your fan mail box within a week Jessika! 💘 🦊 💕🦊 . Een tweede bezoek aan de Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen, bracht buiten de prachtige omgeving, wederom een leuke ontmoeting; blijft toch bijzonder! #vos #redfox #fuchs #foxesofinstagram #awd In de AWD worden vossen niet bejaagd, waardoor er voor de vossen geen reden is mensen echt te vrezen. Anders dan in vele andere gebieden, zijn een aantal vossen hier dus weinig schuw. Maar wel ook slim genoeg om zich terug te trekken, op plekken waar de mens geen vrije toegang heeft. AWD is een van de grootste duingebieden van Nederland. Hier wordt 2/3 van het drinkwater voor Amsterdam voorgezuiverd. Natuur en het zuiveren van water gaan hier al sinds 1853 mooi samen. De jonge prins Willem van Oranje stak de eerste spade in de grond om de “Oranjekom” te graven. Het heeft een aanzienlijk landschapsvariëteit (van open zand tot bos) en een rijke flora en fauna. Het gebied is open voor het publiek om te wandelen, ook buiten de paden; daarom is dit gebied een unieke kans voor natuurliefhebbers om dit typisch Nederlandse landschap te verkennen.
