"Griffith Park celebrates its 121st anniversary Saturday! It’s an incredible place to visit and find solace while consumed by the urban bustle of Los Angeles. Griffith Park is named after Col. Griffith J. Griffith, who donated 3,015 acres of land to the city of Los Angeles for use as a public park. Over the years, it’s expanded to include the Griffith Observatory, Griffith Park Boys and Girls Camp, the Greek Theatre, Travel Town, the Autry Museum, the Los Angeles Zoo, as well as many others. It’s the second largest park in California at 4,310 acres. Thanks to Eyewitness @artbyartla for sharing this incredible aerial capture of Griffith Observatory in the famous park!
