I was doing some reading the other day and came across a story about the Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles. During the season, they were great. Until they were decimated by injuries, including their quarterback who was on pace to be the league MVP. - Going into the Super Bowl, they were huge underdogs. Having lost so much during the season, and going up against arguably one of the greatest QBs of all time - Tom Brady. - But what we underestimated, was the reason “why” they were playing. They weren’t playing just to win, but where playing for each other. A cause much greater than just winning. Their faith moved them “beyond good” to greater. They made no excuses for what they had lost, but took the underdog status and used it to propel themselves toward their purpose. They took the “leftovers”, the fragments, the broken pieces and turned them into the “oxygen” that propelled them to become Champions. - There are times in our lives, my life, where we have to take the broken pieces, the fragments and allow God to turn them into a miracle. People may see you as a underdog, a leftover. But underneath those worldly labels, is a Champion. Because when you understand your purpose and start moving your life toward greater things - you can make a huge impact on others and change the world.
