Today, I enter my late-20s as a 27-year-old. When I was younger, I had assumed my life would take the normal route—get married, have kids, maybe have a solid career, or at least a college degree by now. I do not have any of those things. And I’m discovering that I actually may not want any of those things. What I do want in my life is adventure and love and friends. And I have those things. I am so full. My life is as perfect as it could be right now. I don’t live a typical life, but I live a rich one. I always love my birthday—every year it’s the beginning of something new. I’m excited for what’s ahead.
