I just heard the disturbing news that Smallville actress Allison Mack was ARRESTED by the FBI couple of days ago for her alleged involvement in Nxivm, a sex cult that specializes in brainwashing and recruiting women as sex slaves. Just reading that sentence makes my head spin. Allison Mack is someone I spent most of my childhood watching and admiring. Her charisma, down-to-earth demeanor, and above all - her childlike smile were the things that made me completely fall in love with her and her Smallville character Chloe. These same things, however, now serve as a stark paradox to what she is being accused of. Her Smallville co-star Kristin Kreuk is also being accused of recruiting sex slaves for the same cult. I am still trying to wrap my head around this news, as my mind simply refuses to believe that this woman would be capable of something so vile and wrong. I mean, just look at that smile! Is it not the most innocent-looking, sweet, adorable smile you have seen in your entire life?! "Тайны Смолвиля" (2001 - 2011 гг.). Раз уж Генри Кавилл так шикарно поздравил Супермена с 80-летием (загляните сюда: @henrycavill), я не смогла остаться в стороне. И решила-таки написать о сериале, так как давно собиралась. 📺На самом деле "Тайны Смолвиля" пришлись на мои школьные годы. Я бежала домой, смотрела и только потом делала уроки. 😄Но весь сериал я посмотрела уже позже, когда вышли все серии и все сезоны, и, начиная с пятого сезона, меня затянуло безвозвратно. А прошлым летом я случайно поймала пару серий по телевизору и вдруг поняла, что сериал-то хорош и сейчас! И даже сейчас смотрится совершенно на уровне. Да, не было таких спецэффектов. Но был сюжет, причем сюжет каждой серии, поэтому даже отдельные серии, вне общего повествования, смотреть интересно. 🎬А правда нужно говорить, о чем сериал?)) Ладно, скажу. "Тайны Смолвиля" поставили своей задачей рассказать нам о становлении Супермена в героя, которого мы все прекрасно знаем. Но каким он был в школьные годы? Сомневался ли в себе (конечно!), любил ли кого-то, кроме Лоис (а вы помните Лану?)? Каким он был и когда стал таким, каким мы его знаем? Об этом и расскажет нам сериал. Первые друзья, первые враги, первые испытания воли и силы. И конечно, первые победы и первые поражения. 🎥 Несмотря на то, что мы знаем, чем дело кончится, смотреть на это очень интересно. Повторюсь, что продуман не только общий сюжет сезона, но и каждая серия в отдельности, и даже когда сериал выруливает на более привычную канву, эта особенность не теряется и не пропадает. Смотреть реально интересно до последней серии, а некоторые запоминаются особенно. 🎭Парочку слов о персонажах. Кларк, Лоис, Лекс - этих вы явно знаете, но для поклонников сериала важны и Лана, и Хлоя, и Оливер. И ещё несколько других. Все они раскрываются на протяжении сериала, меняются. И пусть не кардинально, но все же - за ними интересно следить, что также добавляет сериалу плюсов. ✍ Резюмируя скажу, что советую его не только поклонникам Супермена и супергеройских сериалов, но и вообще всем, кто любит хорошие сериалы. Он, конечно, специфичен, но хорош не только в своей области. А если вы его не досмотрели когда-то - может, пришло время?🙋

Lois Lane ❤️ . Yes, she is Superman’s love interest, the pair being one of personal favorite love stories, but first and foremost, Lois Lane is a self-made badass. Right from the beginning, when she was introduced in the pre-feminist times of the 50’s, Lois Lane has been ahead of her times as a strong working woman. She faces challenges and never gives, and that is probably what lands her into unthinkably dangerous situations but something to admire as brave. She stands up for what she believes in, the truth, and she fights to be heard and to be seen as an equal. But it’s not only her strength that is worth looking up to, there is also the layer of love and compassion. She is the only woman meant for Superman because she’s always stood by his side, not behind him or trying to control him but rather as his partner. She’s madly in love and sometimes that’s the scariest thing of all. She portrays admirable qualities of love, between loyalty and trust and even vulnerability. Her love for the Man of Steel slash bubbling reporter, Clark Kent, always comes off as pure. Lois Lane is an embodiment of having it all; she is her own woman driven by her career but she has a romantic side and isn’t ashamed of being saved, probably because she does a little of her own saving from time to time too. She is a female character that has always been portrayed as a human girl who is ambitious, strong, loyal and smart, and that’s what makes her so amazing, a girls role model of sorts.
