Week 3 Day 3: Shoulders Life is too short to not have fun. I do my best to make the most of even the worst situations. Sometimes, I fail. Obstacles come at us every day. You can either focus on the negative or do your best and overcome them. Shoulders was a nice quick workout. Two weight based moves and then 30 seconds of plyometrics. Followed by a round of core work. This program is awesome for busy people who don’t have time to exercise six days a week or for 60 minutes at a time.

Week 2 Day 3: Shoulders I liked the theme music. Super dramatic. 😜😜 Four years ago, my rotator cuff and bicep muscle were torn. After surgery, I did similar shoulder exercises. I started with no weight and progressed to an amazing two pounds. I have consistently worked hard to strengthen my shoulder. Today, I am doing the same exercises with an unthinkable 15 pounds. Never give up. Focus on one day at a time. Results will come with consistency. Happy Thursday!

Week 1 Day 3: Shoulders A quick 31 minute circuit workout. Three sets of three exercises. Two shoulder moves with weights and then a cardio segment for 30 seconds. It was quick, but I was drenched in sweat. A great way to start the day. I often hear people say that they don’t have time to workout. It’s not that hard to get up a little earlier and get it done. You can make excuses or you can just do it.

Week 1 Day 1: Chest and Triceps Here we go again. I rarely repeat programs, but I liked this one so much, I’m going to do it again. I’ve already noticed how much I’ve increased the weights. Week of Hard Labor: Total Body That’s a wrap. I completed the program. This one was a total sweatfest. Pyramids and negative sets. Yikes!!!! As you may see, we are still here. The flight has been cancelled twice. We are shooting for tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
Week of Hard Labor: Core 30 plus minutes of all core work. The core is probably the most important area to work. Not only does it help define the abs, but it protects your back. This one was awesome. Our flight last night was cancelled. Take two this evening. Fingers crossed.

Yesterday, I ran a 9.11k Memorial Run. It was super hot and hilly. The finisher medal was definitely earned.

Later today, I plan on running the 9.11k Memorial Race on Base. It’s been a little while since I’ve run. I am confident that all this training has me conditioned. Week 7 Day 4: TOTAL BODY HIIT The kids didn’t want to give me a post-workout hug. There was minimal sweating. 😜😜 💦 This workout was intense. The burnout at the end almost killed me. This program is fantastic. At four days per week, it’s really easy to squeeze into the schedule. What a way to start out the holiday weekend? Happy Labor Day!
Week 7 Day 3: Arms and Shoulders My last vacation day. 😫😫. This has been another great trip. I always hate when they end. Quad sets adds a nice challenge. I was struggling a little. You can’t get better unless you push yourself.

Week 5: The Secret Weapon I did an extra workout today and then spent some time with my secret weapon. The foam roller is one of the greatest tools I have. It helps with soreness and increases my flexibility. If you don’t have one, you need one even if you don’t workout. It will even help with chronic pain. It’s amazing. Do you use one?
