Rainbows, flowers, a vibrant salad, and some live music on the streets this evening in San Cristobal de las Casas. It has been a blessing to be here soaking all this up. My days have been spent walking for hours with no destination, talking to and smiling at the people around, finding delicious fruits to eat, observing the people and their different ways of life. There are lots of tourists in this city, but still I get stared at by almost everyone, including most of the tourists. I embrace and love this. I find myself staring back at all the people, engaging the eyes of those who are willing to connect in this way and not shy away. It's such an enlivening experience to connect eye to eye with someone. I find it more common with children that they are able to embrace the eye contact with no fear. The time is coming that I'm feeling to continue the movements. Nothing is certain yet but I'm feeling tomorrow I will leave to go to Palenque. There I will stay in a hut in the jungle, amongst the howler monkeys and the jaguars, eating the mangos that fall from the trees and soaking up the powerful energy from the ancient Mayan ruins there. I'm hoping soon to do a Temazcal, which is an indigenous sweat lodge that is supposed to be very potent and cleansing. Also in Palenque I hear the magic mushrooms grow like wildfire. I don't believe I will be eating any, however it's another strong energy to be surrounded by. I'll update you all once I arrive there. Sending so much love to each and every one of you. Gratitude!!!!!
