To own a business it takes hard work, dedication, and a resilient spirit. I believe a hard work ethic is not something that comes easy, it’s something that develops over time. ⏰ I attribute most of my development to wood. When we first moved to the country, our only source of heat was from our wood stove, so these Arizonians needed a lot of wood to keep warm throughout the year. 🔥 I look back at my younger years fondly with many memories (and hours) of stacking, hauling, and occasionally chopping wood..whether the sun was shining or a good Oregon downpour was in progress. 🌧 It was my parents that diligently taught me the importance of an honest work, done with quality and most importantly a cheerful spirit. 💁🏻♀️ Although in that moment of heavy rain, throwing wet wood chunks into the back our pickup, I wasn’t looking at the big picture, nor was a grateful for the lessons I was learning. I can now look back with hindsight seeing how that helped shape and developed character, and I can honestly say, I’m thankful for wood.
