According to Livescience.com "Crystal healing is an alternative medical technique in which crystals and other stones are used to cure ailments and protect against disease. Proponents of this technique believe that crystals act as conduits for healing — allowing positive, healing energy to flow into the body as negative, disease-causing energy flows out."⠀ ⠀ Do you use crystals for their healing properties? What is your favorite stone and why?
Married under a canopy of elegant oak trees and Roses. Magical!
Happy 2019! What better way to start the new year than to learn and share something new. Did you know that terrariums have been around since 1829? ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Dr. Nathaniel Ward, an English physician, loved to collect. However, most of his treasures didn't survive the voyages to and from London. The terrarium discovery was one of happy accident. On a trip, a fern had germinated inside a sealed glass bottle wherein which Dr. Ward been keeping moth cocoons. He found that plants can grow in closed glass containers, where condensation provides moisture to plants and soil/other debris supplies nourishment.
My goodness🥰 Another year has flown by. I’m eternally grateful for all of the beauty my team and I were able to create with the trust of our Clients and their Planners. So many incredible opportunities, new friendships, and a big brand new retail space to share with the community. I’m grateful for all of our American and local farms that have tirelessly tended to the blooms and greens we use in our creations. Thank you to everyone of you that have supported us in making my dreams come true; Especially my husband Adam and my sweet boys Brooks & Sagan. ❤️-Toni #wishicouldtagmorepeople
This is a watermelon peperomia, named for it's resemblance to the rind of our summertime favorite fruit. This low maintenance plant is perfect for an indoor or outdoor container. Added bonus, they are non-toxic to cats and dogs.
Texture turns a traditional palette into a more modern variation. A stunning dress and carrier of the bouquet helps too.
The mood altering effects of your favorite candle... I find that by simply taking a flame to a wick, my slightly "weathered" state of mind is soothed.
While reality is no fairy tale, sometimes it truly does resemble one. The magic is alive with these two.

CBD stocking stuffers are ready for gifting! Honey sticks, dog treats, chocolate and more!
Asymmetry and it's lack of equivalence, to me, is the most balanced expression of who we are. Our bodily make-up contains more of one thing than another, our minds favor certain ideas, our paths never fall in a straight line. It's the mix of these parts that defines us as beings. Each of us wholly different, each of us asymmetrically ourselves.
The "Emma" gift guide includes a @hatchcovedesigns art print, @dulce_earth lip scrub, @gritandgracestudiolove trinket dish, @oldwhalingco indigo and rice soap and an airplant, of course.

Out the door this one goes to a special someone on their birthday!
There's something about twinkling lights and suspended greenery that exudes romance. Creating en plein air seems to add an element of mystique to any dressed spaced. As a life rule, the more I incorporate nature into my everyday surroundings the better.
Toni, owner of Roadside Blooms,' selections were too abundant to be photographed so here's the pared down version 😉 @younglivingeo thieves essential oil, @oceanic_designs coasters, a @southernbloomspress ornament and a Wonderstein wrist cuff

I take such pleasure in revisiting events from days passed. When a photographer sends images from experiences we've shared, I often smile at the memories we created. Having the opportunity to regularly reflect on beautiful moments is personally motivating. I hope that each of you finds yourself in a similar state of reflection and appreciation.
This season in lieu of a bow, why not top your gifts with airplants?
"Among those whom I like or admire, I can find no common denominator, but among those whom I love, I can: all of them make me laugh." — W. H. Auden
Did you know that the first official day of winter is on the 21st? Is it me or do you feel like winter begins on the first day of December?
This holiday season we are striving to consider reusable bags in lieu of single use while gift shopping. This one small adjustment can make a positive impact on our community and our environment.
On this last day of November I take my thankfulness and turn it to gratitude. I approach the new month with appreciation and a consideration of how my actions will reflect this mentality. With this gratitude, it is my hope that others will notice, absorb and pay it forward.

There are times when I advocate for our florals to "tuck in" to the scenery. It has to be at a special place where the interaction of our creations with nature compliment one another. Magnolia Plantation is one of those spaces where the natural surroundings are just too dreamy not to bolster.

This @oldwhalingco French lavender soap gives me serious Thanksgiving Day "woosahs." The perfect prep for those uncomfortable holiday dinner conversations.😜⠀ ⠀ So thankful for all of our colorful customers, vendors, clients, neighbors and friends. Life would be a whole lot less meaningful without you.
Every year as Thanksgiving draws near, I take a moment to reflect upon the risks, payoffs, successes and challenges I have faced. It's in this reflection that I draw specific examples of why I am thankful. I would like to take a moment to share one take-away from this annual exercise. ⠀ ⠀ This year, as some of you know, I applied to be a part of the Goldman Sachs small business program. It was a lengthy application process and I was delighted to be accepted! This was an opportunity to strengthen my business and to learn, however, I quickly realized a considerable amount of time and energy would be spent away from my home and my shop. With this risk I had to put full faith in my employees, family and friends. ⠀ ⠀ My thankfulness takeaway is that my family and business can be independently supported and cared for thanks to those I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by. ⠀ ⠀ What is your thankfulness takeaway from this year?
Such a fun night at our friendsgiving floral arrangement workshop! Make sure to check out our upcoming workshops on our website roadsideblooms.com

Cafe au lait is one of our favorite dahlia varieties to work with. Because of its breadth, these flowers are often referred to as dinner plate dahlias. Their natural palette and size make them the perfect focal flower for hearty bouquets.
String of pearls are back!
When the bus rolls in you know it's time. We love when our photographer friends capture the moments where our couples are minutes away from the ceremony. The purest sights of joy and anticipation often illuminate their faces. Thank you Clay for capturing Maggie in such a sparkling way and sharing your work with us!
51 days until we conclude 2018. Are you ready for the approaching new year? What ways are you preparing for it to be your best yet?⠀
Lowcountry and low design. In lieu of the traditional aisle markers, this couple selected bench seating and a design that is "growing" from the seats that support their loved ones.
Dose of sunshine in a vase. It's amazing how color can impact not only your visual environment, but your mood. On these rainy days, designing arrangements in bright palettes give me the jolt of energy I crave.
There's something so romantic about the drape of blooms over a fireplace.

As the weather gets cooler, our actions have the opportunity to slow. With this change of pace, we are able to reflect on our actions, our intentions and our drivers. By taking time daily to activate this mindfulness we more internally connected. This personal connectivity not only strengths the relationship we have with ourselves, but also those we surround ourselves with.

You know it's going to be a day for the books when the walk in cooler looks like this. Who's on board the pampas train?
This look makes all the we do, worth it. It's the celebration of the present, a reflection of the past and an insight into the future. We wish all of our happy couples a lifetime of "looks."
Did you know that blush roses are a symbol of admiration? The presence of these roses could be an expression made by the bride and groom signifying respect and appreciation for those present. Next time you wish to express admiration, perhaps consider a blush rose. What could be better than the gift of respect?
Komorebi is a Japanese word translated to "light between the trees." In our case, it's plants. There's something about the filtration of sunlight that immediately ups the ambiance factor and our overall mood. Our daydreams are set in motion and our spirit calmed.
I find that, at weddings, the bar is a neutral zone. This is the space where guests interact with those they have never met, introductions are made and personalities are shown. This invisible magnet draws people from all walks of life to a common ground where exchanges feel more relaxed and commonalities are often made. Cheers to the bar and the individuals that run it. You create such unity just by being present.
There are a wide range of benefits to writing vs typing. Did you know, it has been proven that writing your thoughts aids in long-term memory? What better way to sharpen your brain power than to share a thought or express a sentiment via snail mail.⠀ ⠀

How stunning is this rose color? It's always a thrill, here in the shop, when we receive new florals. Often times the colors we expect are even richer in person. Perhaps a metaphor for our expectations and interactions with others?
We all get by with a little help from our friends.
The dashing dash on a rainy Parisian inspired wedding day. We do believe the Monseiur and Madame had a night to remember under the twinkling lights at Magnolia Plantation... along with heaping amounts of good luck.
There are times when I am so focused on the process that I forget to take a step back and absorb the overall purpose and beauty of our collective creations. This was one of those moments. I looked down and reflected on the loving intention of this flower order. Also, it is always an amusing realization when your clippers match your blooms.
Have you heard of the world tree? It is a motif present in Indo-European, Siberian and Native American religions. The world tree is an enormous tree that supports the heavens and is rooted in the earth, thus connecting the heavens to the terrestrial world to the underworld. What is more beautiful marrying under a canopy of connectedness?
