'Doctor Strange' is the fourteenth film in the MCU, and it introduces Benedict Cumberbatch to the franchise - but more importantly, it introduces us to the mystic / magical element of Marvel. It's a decent film, but it's also a film that feels overly familiar. Others have said it before, that the film feels almost like a repeat of the first 'Iron Man', which is unfurtunately true. But it's a visually inventive film, that wins by not being afriad to be, for lack of a better word, strange. I loved seeing Mads Mikkelsen in the MCU, but he isn't really given a whole lot to work with - in fact, Kaecilius is one of the weakest MCU villains. Thor: Ragnarok (2018) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The funniest, most colourful Marvel movie yet! Ragnarok focuses on Thor’s efforts to save Asgard from the hands of Hela, the Goddess of Death. Trapped on planet Sakaar, Thor is put face to face with the Hulk before teaming up to stop the inevitable destruction of his homeland. The supporting players in this are outstanding; the relationship between Thor and Loki is ever evolving, as is the banter between Thor and Hulk, as well as the introductions of Valkyrie and Korg. The final act explodes in nuances, as we witness the full extent of God of Thunder’s powers. Thor Ragnarok 2017 Soy un gran defensor de esta película, Ragnarok por fin dota de una personalidad al soso Thor que nos aburría desde el principio, Taika Waititi dota a Thor de una personalidad, chulete, socarrón, torpón, un pez fuera del agua despojado de su objeto de poder que tendrá que remar para salir adelante, me recordó a Jack Burton en "Golpe en la pequeña China". A veces el humor sobra un poco pero el arco de desarrollo de Thor me parece tan notable que se lo perdono todo, el personaje sufre una transformación tanto física como en su personalidad. Alien Saga (1-3) 👽 My Ratings: • Alien: 10/10 👍👌 • Aliens: 9/10 👍👌 • Alien³: 9/10👍👌 It's Alien-day!🎉 So it's time for some Alien-related posts. This VHS-boxset was released when Alien: Resurrection didn't exist yet. What a great trilogy this would have been. Alien is just a perfect movie. Aliens is a great sequel but I have one big problem with it: it turns the Xenomorphs into canon fodder. The only bad thing about Alien³ are the technical issues imo. Aside from that it's an amazing film and a great and tragic ending to Ripley story. Well... Day 60, Movie 91: Nerve This one was a big surprise. I did a blind buy back when it came out on bluray, because I liked the concept. I knew basic plot, that it was based on a young adult novel and had a couple of likable leads, but that was as far as she went. Who knew it would be a slick and really enjoyable update of 90s movies like The Net or Hackers. No real understanding of the internet, outside of buzzwords, but - bless its little heart - it tries. You see, there is a game in which you are dared to things, of increasing risk, in order to gain followers and money. Emma Roberts is the girl that never takes risks; so, she decides to join the game. Juliette Lewis is in the. She is not really given much to do, but she is always a welcome addition. Besides, she doesn’t seem to be in a ton of movies; so you take what you can get. Completely off topic, but I need to watch Strange Days again. Along with Blue Steel, it is kinda the forgotten part of Kathryn Bigeow’s career. I own it on LaserDisc; so I should get on that. First I need to get my player back. Anyway, if you like polished little internet culture movies whose references will end up aging as well as milk - check this one out. It’s surprisingly good. Also, give Strange Days and Blue Steel a day in court. Hell, Blue Steel is essentially a slasher film disguised as a cop movie. Kathryn Bigelow is way cool. It appears as if Nerve is on Hulu. I really could double check, but I don’t wanna. By the way, this is a bra that my wife and I found at park today. It was in that very location and I thought it would make an interesting photo. Now, off to the Shaolin land.

Mike Hodges "Flash Gordon" 1980 HAIL MING HAIL!!! RULER OF THE UNIVERSE!! I almost always forget how great this movie is, every time I revisit it I'm never disappointed. Coming from the director who made "Get Carter", you wouldn't expect a fun, cheese-filled space opera. At the time, producer Dino De Laurentiis was in the business of making some pretty great fantasy films(Flash included), before sadly going belly up much like Cannon, in almost the same fashion. Deep Blue Sea 2 (2018) Director: Darin Scott (Dark House) A billionaire named Carl Durant is running experiment’s on Bull Shark’s in a facility with a group of scientists. While they are obeying his commands, they are also rapidly learning and evolving and are ready to break free from captivity and one could even be pregnant. Once they announced this like two year’s ago, I was beyond excited and hoped for the best with a theatrical premiere. Once they said it wasn’t going to happen and then dropped a trailer even later, I knew this wasn’t going to be great. I wanted to grab a copy for my collection and interest in having to watch sequel’s but I decided to Redbox this one. I’m very glad I did because I would’ve been even more disappointed. There was maybe two cool shot’s but they were also filled with bad cgi and bad acting but I did like the baby addition to the franchise. I could careless if they make a third but this was something to skip!
