If you saw my stories this weekend you know that I ate ice cream with my girls, pizza and had a beer. It wasn’t like a “healthy,” correctly portioned amount either. I loaded up my ice cream cup to the top with mini Reese’s cups, cookie dough bites, hot fudge and whipped cream .... oh, yes I did 💁🏼♀️. Then an hour later I ate 3 pieces of pizza. I was full as a tick! _ When we have those moments where we go off of our meal plan and eat all the food 😋, we beat ourselves up for failing, for giving in, for having “treats.” Some people use this as a reason to start over - to throw caution to the wind and keep indulging since they’ve already messed up. _ 🚗 But if you’re on a road trip and you get lost, you don’t turn the car around and start all over again, do you? No. You reroute and get back on the main road. You pick up where you left off. The same should be with your health and fitness journey. _ ❓ So what do you do when you overeat? Pick yourself up, dust it off and move on. You haven’t ruined any progress you’ve made. It’s one day. Let it go. _ 💯 How you respond to overeating is very important. The BEST thing you can do is to get right back on track - with your regular workout or your meal plan. You don’t have to be perfect but you always have to get back on track.
