Molly’s Game Un buon film scritto e diretto da Aaron Sorkin che racconta l’ascesa e il declino di Molly Bloom che organizzava partite di poker con celebrità, interpretata da una super Jessica Chastain, con dialoghi taglienti e fini lunga tutta la durata,troppa, del film. Peccato per la terminologia che conosce solo uno pratico di poker, non io, che mi avrebbe fatto apprezzare di più il film e che sicuramente dopo la visione difficilmente avrò intenzione di giocarci. Ho già detto che c’è una super Jessica Chastain? All in Voto 3,5/5 A good film written and directed by Aaron Sorkin that tells the rise and decline of Molly Bloom that organized poker games with celebrities, played by a super Jessica Chastain, with sharp and well written dialogues throughout the movie. Too long in my opinion. Too bad for the terminology that only knows a practical poker player, not me, that would have made me appreciate more the film and that certainly after the vision hardly I will play. Did I mention that there is a super Jessica Chastain? SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD Directed by Edgar Wright, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim. A teenager who falls in love with a girl named Ramona Flowers but finds out he must defeat her seven evil exes in order to be with her. All I have to say about this movie is wow. I’ve never seen a movie like this. It’s made all like a video game and comic book combined and it couldn’t have been more enjoyable. The directing by Edgar Wright is astounding. You really feel like you’re playing a video game or reading a comic book as there are character cards for each new character, fight scenes are filmed like classic arcade games, the sounds, the humor, the fun, everything is top notch here. The editing was fantastic as there are so many quick cuts to different camera angles to make it feel like each scene is a page out of a comic. The writing is very humorous but it has so much detail that it makes the quick scenes worthwhile. All the characters are hilarious and it’s a movie where everyone gets to have fun. Because in video games and comics, characters have virtually no limitations so the actors in the film just eat it all up. This film is absolutely brilliant and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more.
