DAY 317. I awoke, looked out the bedroom window, and watched a hummingbird sitting on a Pinon branch. She stretched one wing, then the other. Next I walked outside and discovered a secret Datura plant growing right behind the art studio. The monsoon had grown it huge, with many moonflower blossoms and we hadn't even known it was there. . A little after that I filled the duck pond with fresh water. The ducks waited patiently--well kind of-- they waddled around me quacking. When I made way for them to climb up their stepping stones they got even louder as they splashed in. Ping, our lady duck, did her wild-splashing thing where she darts through the water quick and wildly in spurts. She did this and it splashed Raj right out of the pond! Seriously, he got flung out. . This is the third variation of the Arc the Double Rainbow form. The one I posted last time comes directly from the Taiji for Health Protection (Bao Jian) form that I teach in my classes. I started listening to the Miracle Morning yesterday, I had a chat with my team about it last night and was totally energized and stoked to get up and do my Miracle Morning this morning! I was so excited about it I woke up at least twice probably around 2 AM and 4 AM to see if it was time to do it! Then I finally got up and went downstairs and looked at the clock and it was 5:55 AM. I am not even totally sure how that happened. Old me would have flipped out! But today I had a sense of peace. I don't know why but I was totally okay with getting up almost an hour late. I got my glass of lemon water and I did my 6 minute version of my miracle morning, worked out, ate breakfast, got myself and the kids ready, dropped them off and got to work in plenty of time for my 8:30 AM call. Wow. I did not read this affirmation this morning but I felt this sense of peace instead of chaos. I got so much more done and got to work earlier waking up an hour late. Maybe if you can't get it all done try to do things with an hour less time!? Seriously I cannot get over the sense of peace. What an amazing first Miracle Morning!

Here is a few clips from this morning's workout. I swear I have a bench, which this workout calls for but I really do not want to move my set up to the basement, so I am using what I can to make my workout my own...Fireplace to step up, stability ball for chest exercises...whatever works. I love all of the movements and workouts in this series! Today's workout went really well, other than I was pressed for time, so I plan to get my 10 minute Abs in later tonight. There is always so much to do in so little time!
What would I do without my husband to spot the coolest creatures! . Just as I was about to pull out off my driveway, my husband tapped on my window pointing out the coolest moth resting on the farthest corner of our house. This thing was 4-5" wide. . My husband has always been the one to remind me to slow down and enjoy nature. Things I never would have searched for! In fact every time I spot a hawk in the trees or on a power pole when driving, it reminds me of him. It is the simplest things that brings the greatest joy!
#nevermissamonday Rule #1 ! I woke up extra early and I got in My ME Time this morning. Today was my 1st Chisel Balance experience. This was challenging, I can tell I will be feeling this in my Abs and Glutes! Especially in the last round of Pistol Squats, I could barely balance at the the end of the final round. Lol but I had my fur babies there to keep me occupied, Mason taking up half my mat and Jezabel in the couch. . My Beachbody experience: 1st, I love that I can do my workouts anywhere, anytime. I do not have to worry about driving to the gym or making it to a class. I am on my own schedule, which as a full time working momma to 2 very active little girls...I need flexibility, so I can spend more time with my girls. I feel stronger, more confident, healthier and positive. I love that I am setting a great example for my girls and helping to inspire other woman to stay active and eat healthy. Life is all about Balance!

It Friday and Rainy here this morning, so here is some garden pics of my flowers in bloom, and an extra of Alyza with a little snake her Daddy found for her while working yesterday. She has been asking him for a couple weeks to bring her home a small garter snake when he came across it. She got her wish...and will be letting it go free at Grandma's house today.
I am back to my 4am wake ups and have my pre-workout drink to push me through, I definitely needed it this morning, as I get back into the swing of things. Today's workout kicked my butt..ISO Strength for the win and no videos as I was rushing around all morning. It feels like a Monday to me! So I am going to be totally off the rest of the week, I can SO tell. Lol
Happy 4th of July everyone! I just completed Chisel Endurance this morning! Wow! That was a great workout. I broke quite a sweat and burned some serious calories. I just love strength training! I have been so undecided on what I wanted to try for my next program, and after this morning...yeah...this is it! The funny thing is I had bought this program for my husband, but never tried it for myself until today. Love love love ❤️. . Posting late today as we were setting up the pool for the kids (finally) now off to visit family for the 4th! I wish everyone a safe and happy 4th of July.
Happy #motivationmonday . I took today off of work and was happy to sleep in today! I definitely got in some good sleep last night, more than I am use too. I actually am more tired the more sleep I get! . I woke up with my little one and let her watch a show while I have been working out in and making great use of my little sitting area, which I am working on turning into a little open office for myself! . I do not always want to workout, in fact I could have easily skipped my workout this morning and used my daughter being awake as an excuse to not workout! I could have used the excuse that I am too tired or that I deserve a day off, but that will not get me closer to my goals. When you really want something bad enough, there is NO excuses...you find a way to get it done, to do the work! Life will continue to throw you obstacles big and small, a curve ball, life changes (good and bad). Life will challenge you and it is up to you to stay on coarse and keep pushing for what you want! Use these challenges to fuel your fire, not to set you off course. "Are you the vulture or are the dove?"
Sunday Funday workout is complete! I have been jumping around to different programs all week this week, as I am just undecided on what to start next. I have been itching to try 22 Minute Hard Corp for a while now, but I am too excited to start Shift Shop this month as well. Decisions Decisions SO....Yesterday I gave 22HC a shot and really liked it, then today I jumped to the Challenge du Jour schedule and 22HC was ended up being the WOD! Lol I am so tempted to keep going! Too many decisions of so many AMAZING programs that Beachbody has to offer. If that is my only issue, then I think I am in a good spot! There is no way I can ever be bored. . After trying out 2 days of this program I might just be hooked! I suppose we will see how I will feel tomorrow 😀I will always like the bootcamp structured workouts, they really test your limits and push you further. . Have an amazing Sunday!
Just posting now, I just got out of the dentist and about to head to a hair appointment...this momma has the day off and I am so BUMMED about the rain! 😕 Pilates Extreme went down this morning and I had every intention of trying Joel's new workout today as well...that is until these too cuties walked in just as I was finishing Pilates. After that my morning was insane, I was rushing to get into the shower just to get Alyza to gymnastics in time. I will have to try it out later tonight after the kiddos go down!
So I did it! I only pressed snooze 1X this morning. Today is the 1st morning I am incorporating energize into my workout, so I had to drinking it down and allow the time for it to get into my system before working out. So I used this time to meditate and journal. Then off with my workout...upper body Fix Extreme is one of my favorites! Minus the concentration curls...lol 😁 I felt great during my entire workout! Energize really helped to wake me up and keep me moving. The feeling was subtle, I am not jittery and I of course drank plenty of water just in case! Win Win! Now on with the rest of my day!
Good Morning Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend. It is Monday! And Rule #1 is to #nevermissamonday . It sets the tone for your entire week. . I started 21 Day Fix Extreme again today, and I chose the alternate calendar option of Power Strength Extreme...I just was not feeling Plyo today! So this is my first experience with this workout and I really enjoyed it, although I felt and looked a little uncoordinated. It will take a couple rounds to get the feel for all of the movements. . This workout incorporates functional training movements, and all of the movements were really fun! . I am still not feeling 💯 percent from over the weekend, but it sure felt good to get some addition rest last night and start fresh this morning! Here is too new workouts and new goals to tackle...not to mention taking care of ME inside and out!
Good morning everyone! Up and at em. I decided to start my day off with a morning run. It was gorgeous this morning, Perfect breeze and sunny. For some reason I could not get my tracker working and my Fitbit broke last week, so I just turned in my Audible and listened to some PD and enjoyed the outdoors. I know my routes, so I ran 5.5 miles and I kept up with a really good relaxed pace. I fueled up right away with my superfoods, now off to shower and get in some grocery shopping! I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful morning. 🌞😀
Happy Friday All! Today WOD was MMA Mash Up, I have been wanting to try this one out for a while, but it never fit into my workout program schedules. It is nice to have the time to try new things, and BBOD has so many fun workouts to try...the toughest decision is deciding what is next! . It was tough waking up this morning and getting moving in general..I went to bed with a horrible headache and woke up with it as well. Scarlett also woke up the same time as me! My little munchkin thankfully let me get my workout in, as she cuddled in a blanket on the couch. The only complaint I got from her was that she could not see the TV and I was in the way. Lol 😂 Thankfully I will be working from home today! I feel more relaxed, and have a busy morning taking my oldest too and from gymnastics and catching up on some work as well. I hope you all have a great Friday and a great weekend!
Late afternoon post for my early morning workout. Shaun week is Finally complete with dig deep...I definitely had to! Lol I noticed some soreness in my wrist this morning and some of the jumps were tough in my knees, so modify I did! I have to say that I am not a huge fan at this style of workouts, they are fast paced and tough and I know that probably means I should do it more. One thing's for sure is Shaun T is a great motivator and and inspirational trainer! . I think I will end this week with either all yoga or a little combo of different programs then start the new week with another round of 21 DFX in Monday. . I am also looking to start up a new accountability group starting in July as well! Daily workout, daily motivation and accountability...yummy eating plans and super foods? You have nothing to loose other than maybe a few pounds..and so much more to gain! Strength, confidence, positivity and some healthy habits and friends to work with on some killer summer goals! . Happy Tuesday! So, I have been absent on IG and FB with my daily posts, I guess you can say I was taking a short break, but I have been keeping up with my workouts everyday. I feel that it is a good idea to take a break from time to time to recenter and reevaluate everything. Plus lately, I have had a lot going on that has kept me busy. My workouts on the other hand, have been consistent! I had a 5k fun run on Saturday, then took an actual day of rest Sunday. I got to try the sneak peak of Shift Shop yesterday...that was so fun! Then now I am finally finishing up the last 2 days of Shaun week, so I just completed Speed 4.0 this morning. I thought it was challenging and I was definitely uncoordinated, but got a little better towards the end. I modified, and that was okay 👌🏻 because I kept moving and pushed through. . When things get busy or stressful, it is important to prioritize, but not to give up the things that help us get through the day! Working out helps to relieve stress, keep a clear mind, keep us energized and positive!
