Sevit Some. That's the English name of this artificial island on the side of Han River near Banpo Bridge. But Korean people call it 'Sebit Seom'. 'Se' means three, 'bit' means light and 'seom' means 'island'. So, literally it means 'Three Light Islands'. Yeah, this cultural complex has 3 part of 'island': Gavit (performing arts island), Chavit (island of entertainment), Solvit (island of water leisure). There's another 1, Yevit. But that's not an island itself,it's more like floating structure along with the three floating islands. Some Sevit is a place where you can enjoy special cultural contents at the water’s edge. And i heard it's the world’s first floating structure with buildings that can float on water. And for you who like K-Drama, i bet you know that this place is also appeared on 'About Time'.
