Use the Lat Pulldown to master pull-ups?!?! #
I used to be a coach who thought I was better than using the lat pull down machine. I thought “my clients don’t need this!”
Well turns out the lat pull down is a GREAT way to learn the pull-up. One of the most important cues I use with clients with pull-ups is “pull the bar to the chest” because most people just try to pull their chin over the bar.
By using the lat pull-down, you actually have to pull the bar to your chest, driving this cue home.
Use this to get stronger, or even use this as a primer before you do pull-ups.
