Yesterday I had a bit of a tough time with the last tacks I needed to add to a chair. They needed to be placed in a bit of a difficult spot and I had a hard time reaching it properly.
So I stopped and went home, read, slept, went to see a client in the morning, bought my daughters new socks (they are growing so much lately!) and finally returned to my workshop this afternoon, tagging my daughters along (with activity books to keep them busy). I was so sure it was going to take me some time to finally get the job done. Being self-taught, I admit I also started doubting. Can I actually do this?
And then... 5 minutes later, it was DONE. *happy dance*
I don’t know why on some days things don’t work out and on the next day, they do, but I’ve learned not to force things as I used to, and to trust that everything will be ok.
Does this happen to you? How do you handle these situations? .
PS I listen to lots of different music on my I-Pod when I work, from rock, jazz, country, bhangra, trip hop to 80’s songs.
My eldest daughter asked to listen to #wham today. And both girls know the lyrics to “Last Christmas”. Am I turning them into weirdos? 🤔😂
