So they say that every cloud has a silver lining right? Well, quite a few clouds and lots and lots of winds upset our life a week ago today but that only means lots and lots of silver right?! . Ok, ok so one of the silver linings for me is new clothes by necessity (btw, this is one of my best friend fashionistas 😘 @brianaleigh92). No power = no way to wash clothes 😩 So what do we do? We go shopping 😉 But I also noticed that it helped me do something. . I’ve never been a huge spender, but when it comes to spending OUR money, I’m extremely tight fisted. And it’s not because I’m such a great saver, but because I felt like I hadn’t earned it. But I was missing the whole point of my husband’s role as a husband: to provide for his family. . Now I don’t want anyone to get the idea that I’m saying a girl should just go out and spend all she wants and let the hubs foot the bill (that’s a really good way to introduce resentment into your marriage super quick). But I am saying that is independent ladies need to let our husband’s do what God created them to do: provide. . That doesn’t mean that you CAN’T do things for yourself, it just means that you’re choosing to let him bear the burden sometimes. And don’t be like me and think you’re an inconvenience because nothing makes a man feel more like a man than knowing that he has taken good care of his girl 😘 . What things could you let him take care of today?
