Yes, it is ok to make space for play foods. If you want to have a healthy relationship with food AND your body, it's time to see foods on a spectrum....least health promoting to most health promoting and to remember that the dose makes the poison.
You're not going to balloon out because you have a couple rice treat bars, nor are you a bad person because you indulged in a guilty pleasure.
I hate that term "guilty pleasure." Guilty should never be placed on the same playing field as pleasure (unless you intentionally hurt someone, then sure). Guilty makes you wrong which makes you bad, thus pleasure makes you wrong which makes you bad. What a stupid cycle to put ourselves in.
Time to start dismantling old semantics and do some thought reframing.
Enjoy your fun foods, go slowly with them, make them count.
Restriction mindset is what gets you in trouble around food. Permission with connection is what brings eating into balance. .
